Anonymous → There is nothing wrong with self-inserts. However, the self-insert shouldn't be so dramatic that the character stops being themself and start being you. You should try to seek a balance. And if any of your character's story is something that you have gone through, I feel so badly for you and offer you my sympathies.

Not entirely, just…….. metaphorically.
Let’s not give sympathies to that and those who do not deserve.

It’s quite hard, i do that with all my writing. Absolutely all of it. It’s unconscious. I can’t seem to get rid of it, I really do try.
